Yalcin Ekren, Cert. MDT, PT, DPT

• Earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Florida (Spring 2011-Spring 2013).
• Graduated from the Physical Therapy School of Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey in 1981. He gained experience practicing in both out-patient and inpatient hospital settings, clinics and home health care prior to arriving in the United States.
• Ohio state license in 1984 and worked in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, treating patients for almost 4 years in Dayton, Ohio.
• Florida state license in 1987. Worked at Mease-Dunedin Hospital in-patient and out-patient therapy for 4 years.
• Extensive manual therapy courses in Maitland, Mulligan, Cyriax and Mc Kenzie methods.
• Became Cert. MDT, PT from the McKenzie Institute of America in 1998.
• Worked for Commonwealth Rehab over 9 years as a Director of PT. Supervised and managed multiple clinics.
• Established his practice in 1998 with his wife, Filiz Ekren Cert. MDT, PT, DPT. They currently are the owners of 3 out-patient clinics.

Filiz Ekren, Cert. MDT, PT, DPT

• Earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Florida (Spring 2011-Spring 2013).
• Graduated from the Physical Therapy School of Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey in 1980.
• Ohio state license in 1983 and worked at St.Elizabeth Medical Center rotating through various PT departments in Dayton, Ohio.
• Licensed in Florida in 1989. Worked at Morton Plant- Mease Clearwater Hospital In-Patient and Out-Patient therapy for almost 4 years.
• Trained with Maitland, Ola Grimsby, Cyriax and McKenzie methods.
• Became Cert. MDT, PT from the McKenzie Institute of America in 2006.
• Worked for Commonwealth Rehab 5 years.
• Established her practice in 1998 with her husband Yalcin Ekren Cert. MDT, PT, DPT. Together, they manage 3 out-patient clinics.

Jordan Lindblom, PT, DPT

• Jordan grew up in Clearwater and received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University in 2015.
• She continued her education at the University of South Florida where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019.
• Jordan continues to advance her education and skills through certifications in orthopedic impairments, including pelvic floor dysfunction.
• She spends her free time with family and friends, enjoying the beach, and riding horses.

Abby Mears, PT, DPT

• Abby graduated from the University of Florida in 2018.
• Abby’s training and experience includes post-op rehab, neurological rehab, as well as function, mobility and range of motion therapy.
• She joined Ekren Physical Therapy in 2020 and works at the Clearwater location.

 

Meghan Campbell, PT, DPT

• Meghan is originally from Long Island, NY.
• She completed her undergrad education at Binghamton University where she played Division I soccer.
• She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus in 2018.
• Meghan has experience working with a wide variety of Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal conditions, as well as specializing in running injuries.
• Meghan has a personal goal of running a half marathon in all 50 states and has completed more than 20 to date.

Necati Ekren, PTA

• Graduate from SPC Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Prior to graduating, was involved in Ekren Physical Therapy Services as a Physical Therapy Aide since 2008.
• An avid passion for helping others and improving ones quality of life; enjoys learning about the latest health trends in nutrition and physical fitness.
• Loves sports (plays soccer), art, playing guitar, travel and meditation.
